centering design for cap

Hi all,
I'm very new to the business and am trying to digitize a hat design using wilcom e1.5 but do not know how to make the center/starting point on the front of the hat instead of being in the center of the whole design which is in between the front design and design on the side.

Can anybody help please?

Thanks

Splits and flexi splits

Hi Greg, are there any videos on making yor own splits and flexi splits please, mine seem a bit hit an miss. What exactly are flexi splits, I know how they work and use them frequently but what exactly makes them different from an ordinary split - or aren't they, is it just the way we can use them that makes them different?? Thanks.

 I got a new computer; Intel i7, Windows 7 x64, 8 GB, with
clean install of no other apps, and during the install of Wilcom (the number on
the DVD is W5910 below the ‘Printed in Singapore’, when the install gets to the
point of installing the SQL 2005 app, it hangs and will not compete. When I
look at the task manager I can see the ‘setup.exe *32’ image kicked off for the
‘SQL Server Setup’ and after a minute or so another one pops up and then the
install hangs. It’s like the second starts before the first one ends. If I ‘end
process’ either one of them the install will compete, but SQL has not been
installed correctly. Clipart and Design Workshop fails.

Help!! What can I do.

automatic shortening

When you make a circle automatic shortening of the inside stitches means that some of them do not reach the inside edge - usually a very good thing but when making fringe for example, all the stitches have to held down so it would be nice to be able to turn off the autoshortening, as you can in some softwares. I can't find where to turn off autoshortening in Wilcom, is it right under my nose?? Can anyone help, please? Thank you.

Email an image of a design to a customer?

I was wondering if anyone knows a way of making the wilcom software email a JPG image of a design?

I'll explain:

My old software has the Send As Mail option under the File menu.
When I click on this it openes an email with a dst file and a jpg file attached.
I delete the dst file because the customer can't open that anyway, and they only want to see a pic of their design.
Then I send the email.

My problem is that in Wilcom software the send option opens a new mail document with only an EMB file attached. I know this file type will have the image, but obviously the customer won't have the wilcom software and so won't be able to open it.

Is there a quick and simple way of asking the software to email just an image of the design?

I'm currently having to use the screen print and save to Paint option, which takes longer.

Hope someone can help
