22 Jul 2009 2:13 PM Alert

I have a purchased design that is all one color yet it has an outline around the letter.  I would like to add a stop at the point it begins to outline and then change the color thread.  Could anyone please tell me how to do this.  I have tried several things but nothing has worked yet.

Thanks!

You should be able to select the object (as long as the outline is separate from the letter) once you have the piece selected, just click on a different color in the color palette and that should be it. If you can't select just the outline then perhaps the outline is connected to the letter and you can't do this. Another thought is to select the entire design, go to object> 'un-group'. If the objects are 'grouped' you won't be able to select just the outline, so you would need to un-group them first. Hope that helps....
