Your machine has an USB port? What brand is it?
As far as I know, machine manager only supports serial RS232 protocol and Melco ethernet card connection.
It has always puzzled me why machine providers don't add a built in ethernet port to their machines. The cost of the port is minimal compared to the price of the machines. It would make machine networking much easier. Embroidery software providers should also consider machine connection via ethernet support as well.
I know a couple of machine providers already have the option of built in ethernet, but the option is expensive and requires their proprietary software to access the ethernet port. Plus they want a yearly so called maintenace fee in order to use it.
I'm just venting since I've been waiting for a while for either the software or machine providers to standarize it in their products.

I just purchased a new SWF 1501 Standard. Comes with a 3.5 floppy reader as well as a USB Flash Drive Reader. I suppose the USB connection could be used like any other USB connection. This new designed machine is much better than the older models. I have 3 older single heads. It reads the 3.5 faster and the USB is even faster. Time is money in this business. Later,
