We are starting doing our own monogramming and embroidery with an MB4.  It the past we outsourced it all.  What is the most cost effective backing or stabilizer?  Our normal fabrics to be embroidered will range from tote bags, linens, towels, towel wraps, ect.

from what you are saying, you will be monogramming or embroidering, different types of fabrics, if this is the case, you would need a lot of different types of backing and toppings.

twill like fabrics, need lighter weighted backing,

towels, need a tear away backing, and a WS topping

depending on what items you might also need sticky back backings

there are heat fused backings,  cut aways, no shows etc.. it really depends on what you will be stitching and on what..

there are a lot of different wholesalers, such as Maderia Thread, Melco, etc.. where you can purchase these supplies wholesale.
