Hi everyone I was trying to digitize some popular alphabets myself but have discovered that after alphabet is saved I can not change any properties such as pull compensation, auto spacing or fill type. All I can play with is letter positionning and size. Is it how it should work or am I doing smth wrong? Please point me in right direction otherwise I am lost Thanks

Hi Dryovich,

Once you create alphabets it should work as if it was a stock alphabet. If you give me more info. or send me the ESA file I'm sure I can help you. I have created many alphabets since version 5 and have no problems. It' probably in the properties or the way you are saving it. Or you can call me from 9 to 5 EST.

Hello,

probably you only need to change your stitch method (joining) under sequence from as digitized/original values to either only digitized whilst unckecing original values or closest join resp. bottom line.

Many thanks for answering everyone. Great forum , great people.

Tried to change joining method to "the closest join" and... it worked!!!
Special thank to you Barbara
Just wondering if I should do the same when I convert TTF to ES alphabets?

If you do not want settings as digitized and density like original etc applied, don't use this joining method regardless whether it's original ESA, converted TTF or self-built.
