I am brand new to this software and am really excited about using it.  However, I have much clipart and other projects stored in JPEG or Bitmap files and have absolutely no idea how to import them into ES to work on.  I have read the book and much of the online information and feel I'm missing something.  It can't be that hard!  I hope someone can give me the key to opening up my clipart.  Thanks

Go to image in the main tool bar and then to insert file and import it.

If you have ES21D or higher then you should have a menu 'Image' type (Alt G) and that menu should open and then you will see 'insert file'. Also make sure that your show drawing icon is turned on (the icon look like a mountain and sun). This is toggled on and off by the "d" key it should be pressed down. If you open your color object list you should see you drawing at the top, select it and right click it and then lock it in place so it doesn’t move.

If you have corel draw you can select your graphics and paste it directly into ES and digitize from them. I learn't this watching a demo at ISS long beach last week. I also didn't realise it was soooo easy!
