I was wonder if anyone else is using it? I just started using it about 5 days ago and like it pretty good so far and I prefer to run on a Mac so the choice of either of Mac or PC is nice and finally a software that works with Illustrator. I was leary that it was a junk auto digitizer but it is not and it looks to be on level with Wilcom ES45 as far as functions go. It was nice that you can lease it for $199 a month with option to buy. The only thing I don't like is the 3D view (real view) is not always 100% acurate but I have heard other programs are the same. An I wish when I get to the point to buy the software I would have to be tied to the internet to us the softeware, for the lease it is fine but you you buy it I think all program files should be available on your computer either they could give you a dongle or have you activate the software like Adobe does. Anyway i would like to hear some other opinions.

I've been trying to find someone who has used this software and had an opinion about it! Right now it's too costly of an investment but the software seemed really cool since, like you, I prefer working on a mac.

I have not used Embroideryi2 yet my self though it is appealing if for no other reason than it runs on a Mac. The downside to this software that I see is that it is internet based and I definitely don't like the idea that I would not be able to work if for some reason I cannot make an internet connection. We are a completely Mac based business and have been running Punto digitizing software for well over a decade very happily so if you are looking for a Mac based solution this is the one I recommend. Punto was first released as a Mac only digitizing app but after the release of OSX all Punto versions are cross compatible which means you can install it on your PC at the office and on your Mac at home and all you need to do is move the USB dongle.

You may not have heard of Punto because they keep a very low profile for some eccentric reason and I don't think they have ever spent a cent on advertising but I assure you the software is very professional and advanced. The latest version Punto XPX 7.0 was released last year. Punto was many years ahead of all it's time when it was first released and most digitizing apps still haven't caught up to it. It has many useful features like the ability to create your own fonts and drag and drop to and from illustrator and too many more to mention here. The manual is a bit weak and the supplied fonts are not perfect but it is very intuitive and flexible so if you have even a rudimentary knowledge of illustrator you should be able to develop skills with this app quite quickly. Although it is tightly integrated with Illustrator it is a completely independent stand alone app.

It is pricey but I believe they still allow you to download a save disabled demo version of the full application so you can experiment with it until you know if it is a good fit for you or not. You can request the demo here https://www.softeamweb.com/product.php?name=Punto§ion=1

Hope that helps.
