Does anyone know which program can do a good gradient effect on logos?

Yes. I think WILCOM ES-65 can do a pretty good job on gradient effects. (See sample below) Come visit my web site www.webstar88.com for some great digitizing staff.

What type of Gradient effect? Yes, I would go with Wilcom if you are serious about Quality. You can do Straight: Heavy to Light (\) and you can do a Waive: Heavy to Light to Heavy again (~) and more.
