hi
Programs like Wilcom, and Coreldraw are graphics based, and as such require a 'gaming'capacity computer which means you need a good graphics card, processor, and ram.
You also need to make sure that you do not have too many programs installed, and avoid keeping stuff like games and movies on your computer.

Unfortunately, your problem seems to be memory based, so all I can suggest is to either free up space on your current computer ( if you have more than 50% of your harddrive in use, you will begin to find some commands will execute very slowly)
or
You can try for a new, faster computer.

bye

First things first... check if you have the latest version of ES 2006. At the time of this writing, the latest version is V2006.0Z SP4 R2 (you can see the version by doing Help->About in ES).

If you don't have the latest, download and install the service pack from the Wilcom Support site, it will speed up some sequin operations.

Hello Hemu,

with which level of ES2006 are you working? I havw a slight idea of what could be done to make everything work quicker but in order to explain it I need the level you are working with.

As far as I know Emb format higher than 7.x or at least as of V8 is not supported by other SW except DecoStudio which does not have the Sequin function.

Thanks for your reply.

I have latest pc, (P-IV, 1 GB RAM, 160 Gb HDD, & all new one) I have just installed windows xp, photoshop CS-3, Coreldraw 11, willcom 9. and willcom 2006. No games or nor any movies in my PC. Then also i am having such problem. I had tried installing willcom 2006 in my friends PC but then also the problem is not solved. I dont think so that it is Hardware memory problem.....

Hi Hemu,

sorry, but again my question, which version of ES2006 are your working with? If it is 65 you have the advanced sequin tool availabe. Thlis tool is also available with a lower level as option. The file you uploaded shows that you are placing all your sequins manually and therefore, when you are moving the design or only part of it the SW has to calculate everything new - that seems to be the time factor. If you would use the advanced sequin tool, it should be another story.

I tried a little back an forth with your design. Did you ever try with a new design window and a new design just for testing purposes without so many sequins? Does it still take so much time in relation to the complexity of course? I just digitized the right hand bottom part of your design from scratch with the advanced sequin tool and it does take only quite little time to caluclate, even I assign another stitch type or color or duplicate the area compared when I try to move an equvalent part of your design.

For me it looks like as if you should use the adanced sequin tool and, in case you don't own it yet, you could purchase it as option to ES2006. Ask your Wilcom rep for assitance and let im show you the tool.

Sorry, that's all I can do for you

Barbara
