Can some one give us tips for digitizing on knit caps . I have Wilcom2006 I am setting the density like .26 for satins and double zigzag underlay and pull comp about .20 is this correct or i have to lower the density?

IMHO the density is far too dense!! That's almost the value for puff foam. I usually have it around 100% sometimes 110 % with an zigzag underlay ard 1.0 . 0,8 density and an edge run. Pull comp ard .30 to .40

I guess, there is not much more to tell in terms of parameters. In terms of hooping it depends on the kind of hat. A Beanie can be hooped e.g. in a tubular hoop. I prefer to prestretch the knit to the extention it is stretched when worn. This way the embroidery will look good when worn but of course will wharp when just laying on the table. If I do not prestretch it will most probably look relatively good when displayed but when worn, it will be less stretchy and probably uncomfortable to wear - this of course depends on the size and style of design.
I fear, everyone needs to collect own experience and embroider in accordance with the own or also customers' preferences.

This is what I do. Type in your text. Then using the shape of your text digitize a fill roughly around it about 3mm from the text. Next set your tatami values: spacing 1.0, length 5.0, no underlay, set angle to 45 degrees. Then set the fill to trapunto. Now change the position of the fill behind the text. Use auto spacing for your satin spacing with a 3mm center run underlay. You can also use the "offset option tool" in the tool bar to accomplish the same effect but you have to take all the "holes" out of the fill pattern. This works great for towels and polar fleece. No topping needed. Try it!
