I am curious as to what is the industry standard qualification, I have heard about a certificate III qualification. Are digitizers required to hold a certificate of competency? Is this optional, I understand Wilcom run courses and conventions, but is there a standard level of training required to be completed.
Just curious

I've never heard of a requirement for a digitizer to hold any form of certification. Certainly some companies offer digitizing training (Wilcom being one, Strawberry Stitch being another) but the certificates that you might get are basically for completion or attendance of the training, and not based on any industry standard.
A push for an industry standard is an interesting topic. I think some have tried in the past, but being such a niche market I think its hard.

Brenden
