I need to install a plug-in for my Roland GX24 Cutter so I can connect to the cutter program without problems. The instructions read to install the files in the folder GMS located under CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 - Draw and then  GMS. No such folder is under Draw. In X3 it was easy enough to get this done. I have tried almost anything to get this going but no such luck.
I tried many ways to get it done but no such luck. Anyone who can help me?
Thanks

Apparently no one knew how to answer to this question and even asking Wilcom people they did not know what to do. Guess what, I finally figured it out. It all had to do with the fact that when CorelDraw was installed with Embroidery Studio it did not instal VBA (Visual Basic Application?). As soon as I figured out how to get that installed in CorelDrawX4 I automatically I got the GMS folder where it had to be and I was able to get the plugin into the folder and it now is working as it should be. I only think that Wilcom should have been able to tell me that VBA was not installed and how I should find it so I could install it.
If we now just could figure out why I am not getting my 4 Icons into the graphics mode when working with EmbroideryStudio or DecoStudio then I would be a happy camper. Anyone else who has the problem that these icons don't come in when they should?

Nice de-bugging Maritha! I beleive VBA is being added to future releases so that wont be a problem moving forward.

Would you be able to take a screen capture of your screen and post a pic of the 4 buttons you have? Be easier to understand if we could see an image.

To take a screen shot load the software and press the "Prnt Scrn" button on your keyboard. Paste this into Paint and save it as a JPG then attach it to a post here.

Cheers,
Brenden

Brenden I only got the VBA problem solved and with that solved I was able to get my Roland Cutter Icon into CorelDraw.
As far as the 4 icons those I can not take a pic of since they are not showing up. When Clark from Wilcom America was in my computer through the internet to solve the problem the icons only showed up once and when she tried again they did not come in anymore no matter what she was doing. I am talking about the applique icon, the 2 icons for stitchdirection and the Icon to get the Wilcom lettering. Clark then asked me if they came up in DecoStudio and I did not even know I was supposed to get them in that program either because they don't show up there either. I do know that they are only supposed to come up when an object is marked.
I have seen them come into the program one more time but that was about it. It really is strange.

Janet are you talking about installing that VBA? This is already in the CorelDraw program but it was not checked for installation. Not knowing anything about programs and their installations and not knowing much about computers, I figured that a full installation would really install everything of a program but apparently I am incorrect.
If you want to install VBA go to your Control Panel- Add Remove programs- when the list comes up with your programs go to CorelDraw Graphics X4 - click on change/remove - Your CorelDraw installation wizard will come up- and there are 3 choices the top one is Modify and that you mark then click next - this will open a window with CorelDraw folders one of them is Utilities, open that window up and you will see that Visual Basic was not marked - mark this and click on begin - that will install your VBA and that will give you a new folder GMS. When you check under your Program Files - Corel - CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 - Draw- you will now find the GMS folder in which I had to put my plug-ins for my Roland cutter.

I would also click any other unchecked boxes so that all elements of X4 are installed.
Font navigator, etc.

This was discussed extensively in the yahoo group about 12months ago.

Don't forget you can run CorelDraw independant of Wilcom.
This allows you to save your files as CDR files.
Then import the CDR file into ES (via graphics mode).
For some reason, you can't save as a CDR file from within ES.

I think these are the icons.
I only saw them when X5 was linked to ES.
