when i save a stitch file from decostudio e2 lite to floppy drive and upload to my swf/b-t601c embroidery machine it changes 3 colors/needles to 11. i sent wilcom a msg about it and they replied with instructions to do what i am already doing. no help.

Which format are you saving as? Are you saving as DST? I'm not really sure which format your machine supports, but if it's DST, then you need to assign the needles on the machine console, because the DST file cannot store the needle information.

This is a limitation of the DST format itself, not a problem with the software writing it.

yes it is DST. that explains it. was losing my mind. now just have to figure out how to change from 11 colors back to 3 and assign needles by color like it should be.
