I am working on a simple logo for a school, nothing more than an "SG" in block letters, solid fill background with a single color column outline. The problem I'm having is that when this design stitches out on a hat it just runs left to right and has a tendency to "push" the hat until there is a visible lump under the design due to the hat shifting. I am trying to get the design to stitch from the middle out (like you can set text to do) but I'm having no luck. I actually split my design in half but now both halves are stitching from the outside toward the center of the hat. Does anyone have any ideas? Am I trying to do the impossible?
I've attached a picture of the design and the emb file so you can see what I've been trying.

Sure you can. To change the stitching direction of an object, select it and press "H" key to enter "Reshape" mode. Then you can change where the stitching starts and ends by dragging the points.
e.g. To stitch inside-out, move the end point (red crosshair symbol) of your fill objects to the outside (The green diamond is the start point and should be on the inside).

| For a Hat, I would do a tackdown and then a Tatami Fill Left to Right bottom up and then put a nice satin boarder around the fill and then do the yellow satin |

My original attempt had the satin edge around the fill, it looked good but I was worried about the outline lining up with the fill area. When I split the fill area into two halves and corrected for stitching direction it came out pretty good. I did actually add a tack down before I got your message and that seemed to help as well. I only added an area that basically covered the hat seam which was the problem area, would you suggest going with a larger tack down area?
