Hi forum, I am new to the embroidery field but I have been in the sign business for 11 yrs now. I bought Decostudio e1 and a Toyota 830. I had the Pantograms designer series 7.6 that came with the 830 and it was horrible so I decided to try Decostudio and it seems to be really good software so far.

I have a problem though. I don't know how the new machines are but with the Toyota 830, from what I understand, you can't download directly to the machine. you have to create a file and the 830 downloads it from that file. With Pantograms, it sets up a file and a machine/port driver and when you click prepare for embroidery, it saves the file as (1), (2), (3), ect. When you goto the control panel of the 830 you just punch in (1) and the file downloads.

I want to get rid of the Pantograms software but right now it is the only link between any software and the machine. I also have expert stitch manager and what ever the one is that Decostudio has built in. Is there a way to configure this so I can use Decostudio to set the file up so the 830 can download it?

Thanks, Alan

If you're NOT in the United States, you can use "Stitch To Connection Manager", select Toyota ESM, and DecoStudio will send the current design to your Expert Stitch Manager program (which provides the link to your Toyota machine).

But this feature is only available if you're NOT in the United States (!).

Ok, Im curious.
Why is a connection feature NOT available ? Is there a law against connection if you're in US??

I-Cliqq features direct machine connection via Toyota's Expert Stitch Manager.

I know Japan is having a bit of a downturn, but if they dont want anyone connecting to their machinery then the crisis must be really HUGE

Just to clarify, connection IS available to Toyota machines. Only connection specifically via Toyota's Expert Stitch Manager is unavailable in the U.S.

Aisin/Toyota asked Wilcom to disallow the feature in the U.S., but I have no idea why.

hi

Nope, not yet..but thats just because we're the absolute smallest team on the planet, cooking stuff takes a bit longer. There were a few in-flight additions being made, so taking a bit longer..but no worries, we're alive

Our effort is for V1.0 to be as attractive as possible...I don't really doubt it'll all be quite interesting for the industry..especially those really into digitizing and lettering stuff..I have to keep reminding myself that we're very tiny, and can't do all at once..

Considering that I-cliqq is not even a dot on the embroidery radar yet, I can say that its abilities are quite fascinating.

When it does release, I figure it could be the subject of some good chatter..its not everyday that software with good potential appears.

The fun of I-Cliqq is..its actually built to talk for itself...so, if you find yourself testing the demo soon, and you hear a little 'Choo choo..Im small..Im new...but here I come!' - then thats good
