I have a Janome 300e and bernina Artista 730e so have both Digitizer 10,000 and DesignerPlus V.5 Bernina software and Janome software are both made by Wilcom, so why can't my bernina software recognise jef files and vice versa. To convert my files from jef to art I have to convert them to another file type then take them into a 3rd party software program to convert. Why wasn't jef files added to Portfolio?

Hi WZ,

I suppose, it's a license issue.

I started with Artista Designer in 2000 and still own my Artista 180, but nowadays I digitize with Wilcom ES2006 and believe me, I can't safe to art. If I want to stitch on my home machine I must save e.g. to dst or any other format which Artista Software can read and then send it to the machine.

The software disk that came with my Bernina 200 (but has been upgraded to the 730) has been misplaced and I need it to install in my new computer. Is there any way you would consider sending me a copy of yours. I would be forever grateful.

Thanks,

Darlene

Darlene,

first of all, I don't own such disk, I have no Artista 200/730. For this reason I even wouldn't be able to send it to you and 2nd the correct procedure I feel is to contact your dealer or contact Bernina support. If you registered your SW it shouldn't be a big deal and if not, you probably need to prove that you own the original dongle.

Darlene,

The good news is that the cost of the CD is minimal.   It is the dongle that will cost you a huge amount.    A Bernina dealer can order you a replacement software CD.   You would be  wise to order your own and then keep it in an  appropriate case for storage.   Do you still have your dongle?   If not, then you are out thousands of dollars, my friend.
