Usually an error like this when you start the software indicates a corrupt file somewhere in teh system.
Here are a few suggestions to try and fix the problem (try these one at a time so you know wheich one actually fixed the problem):
1. Use "Delete Recovery Files" in the Bernina program group in the Start menu. If you get an error sayinng it couldn't delete the files, you will have to manually delete the files from the C:\Program Files\Bernina\Embroidery Software\Recover and C:\Program Files\Bernina\Embroidery Software\Recover and the C:\Program Files\Bernina\Embroidery Software\Backup folders
2. Try "Revert" in the Bernina program group in the Start menu
3. Try a repair install from your original CD
4. Last resort - Uninstall the software using Windows Add/Remove programs (Windows XP) or Programs and Features (Windows Vista) in the Control Panel, remove the C:\Program Files\Bernina\Embroidery Software\ folder and sub-folders from the PC and then re-install the software from your original CD.
It would also help if you applied any patches available from the Bernina web site if you are running on Vista.
Hope this helps. |
