i am new with embroidery. My question is about pes files too. I have purchased and downloaded pes files to my computer. My embroidery machine is a PE770 and reads pes files. Can i simply copy these pes files from my computer to my memory stick and insert them into my embroidery machine and go?

Hi, just ran across this and thought I'd chime in, as it's kinda my area.

You could also use a embroidery conversion program like Convert It, Mac (which runs on Mac OSX) or Embrilliance Essentials (does sizing and lettering too) which runs on Mac or PC.

There is also a difference between versions of PES. The later versions, like 5+ have thread color embedded, not just Brother's embroidery colors, if that matters to you for conversion.

There is now also PES 9 which has multi-position information for their 10 needle machine and only a few, like the ones above, will read those files. Only Designer's Gallery HoopWorks can write that file, except Palette, but the HoopWorks product was the actual invention of file splitting, and Brother uses that in their software.

Regards!

I have the janome300e, and had the mini amazing box for a few years and loved it. But it went out and I can't find a replacement. I have tried suggestions from everyone on using the fash card to download, but~ the files are showing under my EmbF5 folder but my machine will not get them ?? There has to be a small step i'm missing, this is driving me crazy. I downloaded the Pulse ambassador, as someone suggested, I have a huge amount of designs that i can't use at all . I would appreciate any help, please.

A great replacement for the box you had would be the Vikant Ultimate box. Vikant-emb.com
