The Janome manual is pretty skimpy.

I have a friend who just bought a 200E.  It calls for a blank USB stick.

I assume putting it in the 200E first and finding <form>at> before we take it the computer to load.

Anything else to watch out for, like size of USB stick?

TIA.

I would suggest a small size memory for your USB stick.  Your machine may not be able to handle a large one.

To format you USB right click on the drive (in your computer) and use the FAT format - or just format it in your sewing machine.

Happy embroidering.

I have the Janome 200E and the memory stick is very hard to get as it must have a small memory, computer shops only sell very large ones and the machine can not cope with them,  Janome make a 32MB it works well. Also remember that each design that is loaded must have a short name like M-007.jef or  boy.jef into a folder with the name EMBF. After use unless you store the design in your machine you can reuse the name for another pattern.

Because the machine only recognises short file names I copy the design into the same folder on my machine and rename the copy only, if it has a long name. Then after use I delete the copy it so that I still have the original with the original name.

having fun embroidering
