Is anyone out there using Wings software and if so how do you like it. I am contemplating buying it as I am familiar working in Corel. Any comments at all would give me some insight.

Hi,
I do not have any experience with Draw Wings but customers, who decided for Wilcom, often tell me that this one is easy to learn and that they feel that their knowledge of Corel Draw speeded up the learning process.
One important thing to know: whatever embroidery software you are going to use, keep in mind, that you need to collect experience in embroidery. Software can assist you but you also need to have or collect basic knowlegde about embroidery. |

5 years ago or so (having came from a wilcom back ground and having worked as a digitizer for 3 different companies as a digitizer using wilcom software).... i decided to start my own digitizing business.
I was a little bit sick of Wilcom at the time and wanted to get better software because i was hung up at the time with glitches and issues I had at the time..... Anyway I ended up purchasing Wings (with a rush of hot blood to the head)....... I lost 10k when i eventually came crawling back with my tail in-between my legs..... dont go there.....! |

Wings has come a long way since 2.5. The integration with DRAWstitch technology leave other programs behind. Plus their support is terrific.

Agreed. If you do not understand how stitches behave on different fabrics then you will struggle. Digitizing skills will take time to develop. Using the Creative Drawings-from the Wings and Drawstitch people will help you learn so much quicker. You can upgrade to the more advance features whenever you are reradya dnthey will be very helpful.

The support from Wings is really good and Wings modular has all the features of any other professional digitizing program but costs less. The newer versions in the last few years are much more advanced.

All the leading traditional digitizing programs will take a vector graphic from Corel or whatever, and auodigitize it. Unless you are good with editing then you will just have a mess to clean up unless the original graphic was good quality and converted well - this is rare. Forget about auto digitizing. The Creative DRAWings and the DRAWings Pro have their own graphics which is very fast and easy and the automatic functions if you want to use them, are smarter than autodigitizing.

| Wings is a mature and professional digitizing program. You can buy it in modules and just buy the bits you need. It is best to look at DRAWings software because it comes with the basic Wings software, then you can simply add to Wings if you ever feel you need to. Send msg to Skype name micro2000australia if you need more info |
