Hi there, Any suggestions i can get are greatly appreciated. I have a Brother PE 190D and it runs ok most of the time. I mainly embroid designs onto double sided terry toweling for modern cloth nappies. My latest problem is there is too much of the bobbin thread coming up onto the top of the design. Now i understand its proberly just the tension but i try to keep the tension dial down around the 3 mark but today its just being a pain... Im using 2 layers of medium tear away stablizer on the bottom and a layer of solvy on the top but i just cant seem to get it right.
I'll post a pic to explain:

Any ideas? Thanks Kel

| It May not be the tension. You have to put stablizer not only on the bottom when you do terry cloth ,you have to put it on the top to. Just try it once it might work! Sdonini |

Probaby it is also a tension problem. Did you ever check your bobbin tension? A little piece of thread or fuzz in the bobbin case, especially between the outer spring and the bobbin case can cause to almost no bobbin tension any more. If that is the case, even a lown tension on top still can make the top thread pulling the bobbin thread to the front. Did you change the type of bobbin thread? If the bobbin tension is ok (YoyoTest) how about the top tension? I don't mean, where the dial sits, what about the tension when you pull on the thread with presser foot down, can you move it at al? If not, if you have to pull very hard, there might be a problem in the thread path even the dial shows low tension. If you then can't find the reason yourself, you may need to contact your technician. |

| What it looks like is the flange may be bent (the metal disk where your tension knob is) also are you using underlay? You should have underlay turn ON. |
