Hello togheter

I have a Bernina Artista 180. The software is madly expensive so I downloaded the Wilcom software.

Has someone any experience or advice?

Thankx

Sara

Hi Sara,

Wilcom ES or EmbroideryStudio is a professional line software. It wasn't designed for the home market and doesn't support the Bernina .ART file format. In fact, only Bernina software does support this as it is a Bernina owned format and no one else can use it.

Wilcom software does export to file formats that you can open within your Bernina software that came with the machine so you can digitize in Wilcom software and sew it on a home machine. I actually do this with my Bernina 440QE.

When you say you downloaded the Wilcom Software I assume you mean you downloaded the TrueSizer softare on this site? Be cautious of downloading any Wilcom software wuch as ES or EmbroideryStudio. If it is digitizing software then it would be pirated and illegal and can get you in trouble which no body wants!

Regards,
Brenden

Hi Brendan, I have a Bernina 740 for a small business. What digitaizing software would you recommend that would be able to convert .jpg, .tiff, vectors, .png, .bmp and such to an .art which Bernina uses?

To convert images into .ART files, you'll need Bernina embroidery software: http://www.bernina.com.au/product_detail-n6-i293-sEN.html It's excellent software and produces great embroidery, but, like the OP wrote, it is pretty expensive.
