Another Yahoo group was saying the new true sizer does not open Artista format anymore. Is that true?

I'm facing problem in installing true sizer 2006. A dialog box appears saying that the application has failed because Resource.dll was not found. Can someone tell me what to do?

Hi all,

The .ART format was removed from Wilcom .EMBroidery TrueSizer by request of Bernina, the proprietary owner of the .ART file format. This decision was made by Bernina and is not within Wilcom's control. Negotiations are still underway to be able to include this format at some future time.

RE installation error in TrueSizer.

Try the following:

- Restart the PC
- Disable AntiVirus (You may want to disconnet the internet while you do this.
- Re-install TrueSizer.
- Restart the PC after installing TrueSizer
- Ensure the AntiVirus software is enabled again
- Try TrueSizer!

I hope this helps.

Brenden

No!

Actually, afaik, the new TrueSizer 2006 DOES actually OPEN artista (*.ART).

It just doesn't allow SAVE AS artista format.

I'm very new here, and am not quite sure exactly what True Sizer does. Am I supposed to be able to change the size of a design and have it "redo" the number of stitches so theresizing doesn't ruin the design? Can I use True Sizer to edit out stitches so I can add my own words? I keep looking in the help topics but just feel more and more confused. I hope its not just me. :o)

Hi G,

.EMBroidery TrueSizer is, first of all, a viewer for embroidery files (kinda like Adobe Acrobat). Secondly it will allow to to resize and re-process .EMB files. When you resize, it will process the stitches correctly using Wilcom's stitch processing technology. You can resize other files such as .DST, however the stitches will not reprocess.

There are no editing functions in TrueSizer which will allow you to add lettering. For this you need the Wilcom ES 21L software ( www.wilcom.com.au/es ).

I hope this makes it clear!

Brenden

I have downloaded & installed True Sizer - no problems. But when I run it a pop-up appears in the middle of the screen directing me to the Wilcom site so that I can see the advantages of ES. There's no facility to close the pop-up and I thought that if I went to the Wilcom site and looked at the ES features the pop-up might disappear but it didn't. SO I CAN"T USE TRUE SIZER!!! What's the go Brendan?????

Hi,

When TrueSizer loads at the bottom of the screen is a "Close" button in the popup window which becomes active after 10 seconds. If you can't see the close button it might be because your screen resolution is too low. You require 1024x768 to operate TrueSizer 2006.

Brenden

yep screen resolution complies but still no close button - I could try a higher resolution but that would mean your recommendation is incorrect. Should I try higher res????

Tried 1152 x 864 and then I could see the close button. So something is wrong with my computer or your recommended min.screen resolution. I don't want to run at 1152 x 864 so have uninstalled TrueSizer 2006 and will use older version. Every "improvement" in software seems to be a backward step!!!! Can we still buy older versions of Wilcom ES or are we stuck with ES2006. I was about to buy ES21L but might have to wait a year or so until all the service packs have been released!!!

Hi Applemb,

You shouldn't need a larger res. A close button should appear 10 seconds after it looks. Take a look at the attachement i inserted on this topic.

Do you see this after 10 seconds?
