hello

Most files that you download from the net download to your harddrive as ' zip' files. Before you try opening them, you first need to unzip them, and extract then to a folder on your harddrive.
Once you see the extracted files ( you will see eg test.PES after extracting)

You should be able to open/import the files with no real problem.
Avoid double clicking files to open, but rather open/import from within the viewer software.

Hi, saw this thread and thought I'd mention something, 'cause it's kinda my specialty.

An inexpensive solution to viewing all kinds of embroidery files on Mac or PC is Thumbnailer by Embrilliance. It runs on Mac or PC and can show you the designs.

Sounds like you're opening the wrong file. It should be called something like WilcomTrueSizerSetup.exe or maybe just Setup.exe (depending on which version). One version came as a zip file containing 2 "Setup" files (one a "Bitmap" Setup.bmp and the other "Application" Setup.exe). If you have that one, you have to open the "Application" to run the setup. Opening the "Bitmap" will probably run Photoshop.
