Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I just discovered this forum while on a search for software that would allow me to merge two designs. ie: individual file fonts.

I did read a post regarding that question however it did not address the issue.

I have been using Wilcom .EMBoidery TrueSizer 2006. It's been very helpful in converting formats and resizing designs.

I am not in the market for pricey or even reasonably priced software for the sole purpose of merging indivual font files to make a great looking name or slogan. I'm looking for a way to add one letter at a time even when they are all separate files.

The ultimate would be to be able to use true type fonts so that I can use the million or so beautiful fonts that I already have in my computer... but I will settle for the 15 or 20 alphabets I have collected.

Thank a million
Maxine

Good morning and welcome to this little site!

Truesize does not allow you to merge files. Its more of a viewer like a pdf viewer. What about embird? around $150 and allows merging.

Thank You Frank...

I have my eye on Embird. I will probably purchase that at some point. Right now I can't even afford the basic program much less the 2 plugins that I will need with it. But I am tenatious. I am scouring the Internet in search of a free program that will allow me to merge designs. I may or may not find it but I'm not yet ready to give up.. I also use EFP. Embroidery Fonts Plus. It allows me to add text by typing it in then merging it with the original design I have open but the catch is you can only use the 3 fonts that came free with the free program. I want to use more elaborate fonts and have a larger variety available to choose from.

Thank you much for taking the time and for your suggestion..

Maxine,

I too am looking for a free program that will allow me to combine letters from my fancy font collections.  If you find anything, let me know! I'll do the same for you if I find one.

Thanks,

Chris

I found Stitch Era Universal and it's alright. Has a lot of features. I'm still learning to use the software, but seems pretty powerful to me. Just wish it didn't have so many bugs....
