In TrueSizer 2006 a HTML popup window appears displaying product information.

This popup window is active for 10 seconds afterwhich a 'Close' button will appear [see graphic below] allowing you to close this window.

If you do not see this close button your screen resolution may be too low.

Adjust yor screen resolution to be at least 1024 x 768.

Modifying your Screen Resolution

  • Right-click on the Desktop
  • Select Properties
  • Select the 'Settings' tab
  • Check the Screen Resolution
  • Set the Screen Resolution to at least 1024 x 768

Regards,
Brenden

Can this pop up window be minimized so that the resolution would not have to be changed?  For the "older" eyes it is difficult to read the screen with that resolution.

If this is not possible, can I delete True Sizer 2006 and still have the older version which I have enjoyed since November 16, 2005?  It appears the 2006 version replaced the older version.

Thank you.

Haha, fooey Windows! Be aware (beware) that Windows also "scales" dialog boxes based on your DPI setting (aka "Font Size" setting). So if you have your DPI set to "Large Size", you're probably one running into this problem, because Windows scales the popup window soooo large that you can no longer see the Close button, even at 1024x768!!!

Fortunately, you can close the popup via Windows Task Manager. Look for "TrueSizer.EXE" in the Processes tab and just "End Process". This will close the popup (but the actual sizer application still seems to run fine). Bit drastic though.

Actually no, don't use "Processes->End Process". The safer workaround is to use "End Task".

1) Run TrueSizer
2) Open Windows Task Manager (right click on Windows taskbar, select Task Manager)
3) Go to Applications tab
You should see TWO TrueSizer "Tasks". One is "Wilcom TrueSizer 2006", the other is a "Wilcom .EMBroidery TrueSizer 2006 - [Design1 ..." with a TS icon.
4) Select the task that reads "Wilcom TrueSizer 2006"
5) Click End Task

This will close the popup, but leave the actual sizer application running. (don't End Task the "Wilcom .EMBroidery TrueSizer 2006" cos that will close the sizer application).

I too find this an aggravation and am trying to see this through the eyes of a FREE software that I love to use and cancel the aggravation. If you use end task before the program has properly loaded it will close down. The easiest thing is to wait the 10-12 seconds it is displayed and note when the bar at the top becomes grayed. At that point click on this bar and hit the escape key. Works like a charm every time.
