hi
Jpeg = image file
EMB = embroidery file.

Images have to be 'digitized' to create embroidery files that can then be exported to your machine. This is a process that has to be performed by someone that specialises in this process of embroidery file creation.
The created embroidery data file can then be read into your embroidery machines. You assign thread colors etc as you prefer.

A jpeg, cannot just be converted to EMB format as you would convert a jpeg to eg BMP. These are two totally different sets of data.

The notes indicate that Truesizer can read Melco CND files, but when I insert a disk, the prompt indicates the disk is not formatted.  Does Truesizer read Melco non-Dos CND files?  Perhaps that's the issue.

I really really want to convert .pes file(s) into a .jpeg(s). Now I know I can do this using the Truesizer if the embroidery file is a .emb file. I simply go to File then click 'Capture design bitmap' The software then allows me to save the file as a .jpeg. I can email the image to a customer. Result! However not many files are .emb and I use .pes. What on earth am I going to do now? happy St. Patricks Day

Just following on from my post of 3/15/2011. I discovered that I can save a .pes file in .dst and Truesizer can 'Capture design bitmap' thereby converting the .dst into a .jpeg. This is good but the colours turn out wrong as .dst only recognises stitch files but not the thread colours. So I am halfway there but need advice to get to the finish. Justin

I am having difficulty saving in .ART format. According to what I've read, it can be done using TrueSizer. When I click "Save As," there is no .ART format listed. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, I did find the answer. You can't convert to .art using TrueSizer anymore. I assume you have a Bernina? If so, download Artlink6 from http://www.berninausa.com/naviinfo-n925-sUS.html. It's free... wish I had known that in the first place! It would've made my life much easier. :-) Let me know if you have any other questions.

Brigitte, what extension are the files on the CD? Are you able to open them into TrueSizer? If so, just File->Save As, select Pfaff (*.PCS) from "Files Of Type", and then Save.
