Hi

I'm new to the software embroidery world. That doesn't mean I know nothing about softwares. I can do some complicated design with photoshop and such.

However the way ebmoridery software comapnies are doing is like encouraging people to become a financial analyst when they don't even own a stock. It seems to me digitizing is having two major skills (sewing and art design) combined in one.

Is there any good step by step demo or tutorial where i can find out to see if the digitizing is right for me? I don't intend to spend hundreds of dollars before firmly knowing that this is the career or a hobby I want to take.

Thanks

There are several online embroidery groups that focus on digitizing and have beginner lessons for free. Don't do what I did and buy everything and master nothing for four years. Give me a quick email for a mini list of the groups. I only focus on embroidery and not the chit chat.

You should take a look at DecoStudio. Its a lot more affordable but still has features you need.
