I have a problem I hope you can help me with.

I have some designs that on my designer screen may have only two or three colours in, some fancy text I am trying to use at the moment.

Even though the text only shows three colours in each letter when I open it in Expert stitch manager to allocate thread colours before sending it to my ESP 9000 it shows about 12 colours, this is on a single line of text.  When I add other lines of text it adds more & more colours until I exceed the 15 colours allocated on my ESP 9000 all other colours beyond 15 I cannot do anything with.  I have looked in the colour object list but do not know how to make the design the three colours it shows in designer.

Hey,

I am working with ES 2006 65 and Epxert Stitch Manager to transfer designs to my ESP 9100. I never ran into problems like you describe.

If you would send me your emb.file I could try it here and try to locate the problem.

Hi Terry,

I had a look into your designs. Expert Stitch Manager is functioning correctly, even I did not test it.

Did you ever open up your object list? Here you can see that each group of objects forming a letter has 3 colors itself, which means three different thread colors and three changes when letter "I" is finnished followed by the same procedure for the "M" with the only difference, that the three color are the same than in the first letter. This is followed with each letter. That means, three different thread colors in the design, but 5 times 3 colors changes which makes 15 color changes when you are at the end of the design.

Same applies to the second design. 26 groups of objects with two thread colors each. Every group is sewn first green then blue, which make 2 color changes for one group forming a letter. 26 x 2 are 52 color changes.

Even with 21E you can re-arrange the colors and let stitch out the design color by color. But be aware, it might work for a design in this size; it also might happen, that the single parts in different colors of one group do not line up due to fabric push and pull. If that happens, keep the files as they are.

HTH

Thanks for your reply, I am reasonably new to embroidery, but will try to work it out.

Terry
