I have noticed this for a long time, but I have not asked, can anyone tell me why it takes so long to do a print preview and/or print out of designs? I am using ES 2006.

Tried using TrueSizer 2006 and it has NO problem in printing or previewing in seconds. What is going on with ES 2006?

It could be your settings. Have you got the "TrueView" print option turned on in one product and not the other? I remember, my old PC was pretty slow when trying to print in TrueView.

We've had this same issue for a long time and haven't been able to find a solution. I've tried it with several printers and all the same. I recenlty installed ES on a different system, Core2Due with 4GB of ram and although it was a little faster, it still crawled. Inadvertantly hitting print preview is a recipe for a prolonged luinch break.
This wasn't always the case. The problem came along with 2006 but it is a problem that needs to be acknowledged and addressed. |

| I too see this very very slow print problem in ES2006. I am running windows Vista with a Core2 Quad and 4GB of RAM, and its still very incredibly slow. |

FOUND THE PROBLEM!! After reloading ES 2006 and installing the SP3 update, I went into print preview and all worked fine. Thought great..but. After I reset my print options the problem came back. I then went and started un-checking one option after another and found that if you select on the print option screen of all things "Print in English" the program slows way down!!
So if you are English speaking, do not turn on this option.
