I have ES 2006 21E+ running on a Win XP Pro sp2 machine.  I did not install Design Workflow, however SQL Database server was installed along with ES Designer.  I am finding that this program is conflicting with my HPNA network adapter which is connected to the DSL router by way of the phone lines.  My question is: would it be ok to uninstall SQL server since I don't believe I have a need for it?  It appears to be disabling my internet connection.
Thank you for your help!

I believe the SQL Server is used for the ES Clipart database (if you have the feature). So, if you don't have Design Workflow or the ES Clipart feature, then I'm pretty sure you don't really need SQL Server for ES 2006.

Correct! However, be 100% sure that you do not use the database for anything. Your data will be deleted if you uninstall the MSDE (SQL) database.

Thank you Brenden and delfius for your quick reply. I uninstalled SQL Database and all seems to be working well. I do not have Design Workflow or ES Clipart database installed, or other software that uses it. So it was an unnecessary application. And, now my HPNA network adapter is happily functioning well.
Big thanks!
