If you are using ES designer... I think what you want to do is from the menu bar at the top of the window choose:

"File" "Embroidery Disk" "Format" then choose "ZSK" or "ZSK TC" as needed -- and -- select the drive letter assigned to your floppy -- usually it's "A" but not always.

You have Double Sided, Double Density disks, so it should work.

If you have 740k disk, and you can't get it formatted by using the steps above --- you may need to get a special formatting utility from the Wilcom support website (for registered users of Wilcom software).

A little trick on a HD (1.44MB) disk; to be able to used HD as a DD (720K or Melco format 680K), cover the opposite hole of the write protected tab (opposite side of the lock tab) with tape and then you should be able to format the disk with your machine. The older disks of 720k only had one hole at the end of the disks. The disk in side of the HD is the same disk as the DD but with two holes on the cover to tell the disk drive it’s a 1.44MB.

valbo1722, Wilcom ES 2006 does support both ZSK disk formats.

I'm pretty sure you can use the "ZSK TC" disk format for HD disks, if your actual ZSK machine supports the format.
