I am running windows vista home edition 1.5 level 3 Wilcom on a 32 bit 4mg ram configuration. I am going to Vista 64 bit with 8 gig ram. Will the change from 32 but to 64 bit cause any problems? Thanks.

HI John,
Just checked Wilcom support
www.wilcom.com.au/support
No mention of 64 bit there I would email the request to
support@wilcom.com.au

HI John,

I just reread support site and noticed this ... you can check it out at www.wilcom.com.au/support

Users of 64-bit Operating Systems please note :
ES Version 9 and below have not been officially tested under 64-bit operating systems. ES 2006 (with Service Pack 4 Revision 2) and above will run on 64-bit operating systems such as Windows XP x64 and Windows Vista 64-bit as these operating systems can still run 32-bit applications natively. Note that some Windows Server x64 operating systems running on 64-bit CPUs are not able to run 32-bit applications like Wilcom ES 2006 without hardware emulation.

Microsoft Vista
For full compatibility with Vista, ES Designer 2006 with Vista Update or Service Pack 4 or higher is needed.

Regards

John

Sorry, I'm a bit late in on this. I'm running Level 3 with 64 bit and no problems with Vista or after I upgraded to Windows 7.

Hi Kiara:

Thanks for your input regarding the 64 but question. That relieves my concern and I will go ahead and change machines.

John
