| I was curious if anyone uses this software for their Pfaff Creative embroidery unit? I'm new to my machine and would love to know others who have the same machine and/or expierence with them.
Thanks so much!

Hi Cammy,
I have sold Wilcom to Pfaff users and they said it's more than what they were asking for and loving it. What are you looking to do with an embroidery software? |

| Hi Cammy,
I use it with my Viking Diamond which is very similar to the Pfaff CV and both machines use the same HV software, it's just named differently but is exactly the same programme. Wilcom software works very well with it and recognises trims etc. I also use it with the Janome MB-4 without problems. |

Thank you very much for your responses. I believe what I am trying to determine is if I need a program such as the Wilcom Embroidery Studio to work with my Pfaff 4D to maximize it's potential. My plan for my Pfaff 4D, once I learn how to use it..... , is for home dec, quilts, clothes. I just haven't learned what / how to use my 4D and I didn't know if I needed another program to work with it in order to digitize. I saw a show Linda McPhearson, I believe that was it, and she had a "stitchitize" program and they scanned in an object and clicked a button and voila the stitches filled in and you could alter it from there.
I'm just a "newby" looking for any assistance I can. |

| Hi Cammy,
If you have the full 4D Pro software you don't actually NEED anything else - wanting is a different thing altogether. 4D Pro has Design Creator which is the digitising part of the software and Stitch Editor is the editing part, with 4D or 4D Extra as the customising part with some editing included. Design Creator has a wizard included for automatic digitising which is generally not recommended for true digitising, personally I have never used automatic digitising. There are other parts to 4D Pro as well. 4D Pro is classed as a domestic software designed to be used with domestic machines whereas Wilcom is classed as a professional software. Does this info help at all?? |

Hi Kiara, That does help a great deal. Thank you so much. I think I need to get use to the 4D and then see if I want to expand on the embroidery. This is such a helpful group.
Thank you again.
What type of embroidery are you currently doing (home dec, etc.)? If you use Facebook, please feel free to look me up?
Thanks! Cammy |

| Hi Cammy,
You might find it useful to look up the Yahoo groups. There are several for 4D software and also for your machine. |
