I know this has been talked about in other posts but it would be interesting to see how many people this is affecting.

I am sure we all start our Wilcom at the beginning of the working day and turn it off when we go home. I also run the internet on the same computer and work with Corel Draw and Paint at the same time. I also send Information to my cutter/plotter and my printer, all from the same computer. Surely that is what is supposed to happen as the program comes as a package.

At least one time each day my Wilcom will lock up or crash. I then have to turn off the computer and restart it. That takes me about 15mins minimum to restart everything and it is usually when I have a customer in the shop wanting information.

I know this happens to other people but how many of us have this problem? It would be interesting to know , then maybe we can show this post to Wilcom so they can see the extent of the problem. And fix it......

Hi John,

What kind of crash/lockup?  What thing(s) are you doing to have this problem?  I use my EmbroideryStudio all day with my Cade cutter, DTG Printer, ETC...  6 to 7 days a week if I work the weekends and I may lock up 1 a month if that and it would be because of me not the software because I tried something to see if the software can do something that was not of the ordinary.  Otherwise I don’t think I have lockup or crash in 3 mouths

Do you do a Purge and Recovery when this happens?  What operating system you using and level of Wilcom.

Can you give us more detail (steps) when this happens?

Its been a while since I posted this problem. Thought I would take some time and look to see when the problem occurs.

Usually I start Wilcom E5 Level 1 standard , first thing in the morning. I also start Corel X4 as a stand alone program.

I send data to my embroidery machine via a cable and I use X4 and send data to my cutter via another USB cable.

Problem seems to occur when I have used X4 and the cutter for most of the day ( Wilcom is minimised ) and then I go to maximise Wilcom. From this point Wilcom is frozen. It will not maximise so I can not use it. I have to close the program and reopen it. Sometimes I have to reboot the computer.

The other problem occurs when I have used both programs for most of the day and send data to the cutter. The cutter program freezes. ( Roland GX24 with Cut studio).

Am I doing something wrong?
