I have several problems with the wilcom.
I am an IT technician, a Brazilian company, embroidery, and this company is located in Ceara, one of the largest in the region.
First, the big problem was with the wilcom 9.0 (ES-65). Where the operators of the system needed to save a file developed in Wilcom Software travava the PC, lost the file, and need to start work from the beginning.
After much time doing tests, I discovered that the Wilcom 9.0 (ES-65) have problems with some classes of processors.
any "Intel 2 Duo"
"AMD2 Semprom."
I tired be required to work with old computers for the Software Wilcom function normally, decided to buy the Wilcom 2006.
It seems incredible that, my "headache" worsened.
Even in a latest generation of processors manufactured by Intel, the Wilcom 2006 presented a very big delay to open (Start), operators were double clicking on an icon Wilcom DeskTop in 2006 and leaving the room to have a coffee, then the back to the PC at work, The Software was still open.
If it impracticable work with Wilcom, for the delay, since there are many here work to be performed every day.
Conclusion
I am now waiting until a solution of this Maldito software manufacturer, as it does not train operators decided to work with an older version of Barudan, because I work for undertaking the important thing is the functionality of the software, not the beauty and disign graph.

Well Le Guass, this site is mainly for the 'Defenders of the Faith'. I have found that if you criticise anything about Wilcom, you will be ostracised. I too have many issues with Wilcom and found that criticising the way it doesn't perform is not a good thing to do here.

I wish you luck with getting any help from Wilcom. After several phone calls to their head office, I have given up and now have for sale the ES45 package for half what I paid, but I guess you won't be interested.

Hi Leguass,

Admittedly ES does take some time to open. This is not due to the program but rather the security device "checking the validity of the software and giving the computer permission to open?
A little annoying perhaps  but once opened the program runs very quickly and the startup delay only occurs at the beginning of each day.
I run the program on three different PC's with XP OS and Vista business on a laptop.  The laptop has an intel Core 2 Duo processor and opens in 1 minute 24 seconds.

You mentioned you have several problems with the program.
Have you downloaded the service pack 4 V2.  If you have not already done so you will need to reigter at www.wilcom.com.au/support and look for SP42v2.
From memory it is at the top of the download list.
I am not sure if this will have any effect on the startup time but will fix other  errors. 
If you can be more specific with other problems myself or others in the group may be able to help.

I have always found an email to support@wilcom.com.au most helpful

I dont speak Spanish, just a few words I know and I mean to understand that he means something like "bad" software, software with bugs or not running very well.

My issues with Wilcom.
It seems that when one talks to the right people, things happen. I received correspondence from EMSS (Brisbane) who sold me the ES45 program that I have been complaining about, and after some discussion, they have resolved my issues to my complete satisfaction.
EMSS intervened on my behalf with Wilcom and have been very helpful and supportive, for which I am grateful, and I wish to publicly express my heartfelt thanks to them for their professional attitude and service.
What did they do for me? I was provided with expert advice and service above and beyond what one might reasonably expect, but then this is EMSS doing business as usual.
I now trust my ES45 and am completely satisfied with its performance.
