I am trying to learn digitizing with 21D level.  ARe there any presets built into the software for different fabrics, i.e. denim vs. pique vs cotton twill, etc.  If not, can anyone recommend were to find recommended starting points for the different fabrics?   Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Afaik, no, ES-21D doesn't come with built in fabric presets (at least, not ES 2006).

But have you considered the new Wilcom DecoStudio product? That probably does what you want. You just simply pick a fabric (e.g. denim or pique) and digitize.

The software sets up the stitching parameters (e.g. stitch spacing, underlay, etc) appropriately for each object you digitize, depending on the object and the fabric. Very newbie-friendly.
