There are several online embroidery groups that focus on digitizing and have beginner lessons for free. Don't do what I did and buy everything and master nothing for four years. I only focus on embroidery and not the chit chat.
Go to Yahoo Groups, search for machine embroidery.  Good Luck.

Do not own digitizing software, have Janome Customize 10000, would like to learn more about digitizing first before outlaying a free course over the internet would be groovy. Any lessons using this free download would be useful.
